3 Ways To Prepare To Have A Tree Removed From Your Yard

If you have a tree that you need to have removed from your yard, there are a few things that you can do in advance that will make the process of removing the tree easier for the tree removal crew.

#1 Clear Your Driveway

The first thing that you should do is clear your driveway. They are going to need to bring in a variety of special equipment, ranging from lifts that allow them to trim the tree, grinders that allow them to break down the tree into mulch, trailers to haul away wood and even mini-tractors to haul around heavy stumps and logs.

There is a lot of equipment that your tree removal service may bring with them and need access to. You can make this entire process easier on them by removing your vehicles from the driveway and keeping the driveway and area in front of your house clear so they have somewhere to park.

This is also a smart move as it ensures that your vehicle will not get damaged in any way from this process.

#2 Clean Up Around The Tree

Second, you need to clean up your yard in and around the tree. That means having your kids put all of their outside toys away, wherever you store them. That means putting all your own gardening and yard tools away as well in you tool shed or garage.

You may also want to rake and clean up any other general debris that is on the ground so that the tree removal service has a clean work area. The less stuff that is in their way, the easier and faster their job will be.

#3 Form Of Payment

Third, make sure that you have a form of payment ready for the contractors at the end of the job. You may want to get a certified check or money order for the job if they don't take personal checks. A certified check or money order is always better than cash because it provides a record of your payment. Try to avoid paying in cash if at all possible, because it doesn't leave you with the same payment history and record.

Finally, if it is a hot day, it would be nice to provide the tree cutters with some cool, refreshing water. It is also a great common curtsey to allow them to use your restroom if they ask.
